5th Grade Students Serve Salsa from NPS Student Council Garden

Last spring, the Student Council Environment Committee built a new garden box and installed it near the playground. The committee members planted seeds and grew tomatoes and peppers in the garden.

This fall, they harvested the produce, washed, sliced, and roasted the tomatoes, added in green peppers, cilantro, onion, and lime juice to make some delicious salsa to go with the school lunch, fajitas!

Thanks to the Student Council, Mrs. Glass, and our chefs Peter O., Shawn S., Alex R., Daniela B., Childs H., and Kara L.
