Author in Residence Fred Bowen with students

On November 7, students in all grades were delighted to meet and spend time with author Fred Bowen, who is our 2018 Author-in-Residence.

Mr. Bowen is the author of over 20 of sports-fiction books for kids and a biography of Red Sox great Ted Williams. He is the writer of the popular sports column in the Thursday KidsPost published by The Washington Post.

Students learned about Mr. Bowen's writing process (it's sometimes messy!) and how he has made his career combining two things he loves: sports and books!

Thank you for spending the day at NPS, Mr. Bowen and to our awesome librarians, Mrs. Bertozzi and Ms. Reklis, for coordinating the program!
