Cardinal Club: What Do You Say? by Dr. Bill Stixrud and Ned Johnson

Save the Date!  Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m.  We are delighted to welcome back to NPS Dr. William Stixrud and Ned Johnson who have collaborated on a timely new book:  What Do You Say? How to Talk with Kids to Build Motivation, Stress Tolerance, and a Happy Home.

It elaborates on several of the themes from their best-selling first book, The Self-Driven Child, but the primary focus of What Do You Say? is how to communicate effectively with children, teens, and young adults.

Booklist said the book "could not have arrived at a better time and is essential reading for today's parents."  Julie Lythcott Haims, the author of How to Raise an Adult, has called the book a "must-read game-changer for all parents that has already changed my life”.  Michaeleen Doucleff, who wrote the recent best-seller, Hunt, Gather, Parent, called it "a must-read for any parent who finally wants to stop arguing, bickering, and negotiating with their kids, but who also wants their children to succeed and do well in life."
