Student Voices: 5th and 6th Graders Visit Echo Hill

On September 19th to 21st, NPS 5th and 6th Grade students went to Echo Hill Outdoor School for three days filled with fun activities and scrumptious food! Echo Hill is on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and has a beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay.

Students got to enjoy classes such as bay studies, scanoeing (swamp-canoeing), adventure class (including the giant swing and zip line), swamp studies, aqualogy, and survival. Kids slept in platform tents, ate all their meals at The Whip (the mess hall), and also did activities and games, such as hayrides, wolfpack, and night hikes.

All of the 5th and 6th Grade teachers went, plus Mr. Lester, Mrs. Rusan, Mr. Nolan, Mrs. Glass, and Mrs. Argintar.

The reason we go to Echo Hill is because it is a spectacular educational and bonding experience to help students come out of their shells and have fun together. What a great way to start off the school year!
