Student Council Garden Bears Fruit (and Flowers!)

Student Council Garden Bears Fruit (and Flowers!)

Last spring, the 5th and 6th grade members of the Environmental Committee of Student Council planned and planted a garden.

They decided to plant grew green beans to eat, red and white zinnias for the school colors, and pumpkins for their Nursery friends to enjoy in October.

Over the summer, campers watered and tended the garden, enjoying the taste of a fresh-picked green bean.

On Friday, two current 6th graders harvested the remaining green beans and shared them with classmates and teachers for a tasty snack.
