Sunset with Santa
One of the School’s signature events, Sunset with Santa. The event includes a Secret Santa Shop where children can purchase gifts for their family and take photos with Santa. We will also participate in the Greg Gannon Canned Food Drive.  

Spring Festival
Spring Festival is a fun-filled fair that features activities for all ages including inflatables, face painting, and carnival games and prizes. 

Field Day 
An annual tradition, Field Day is held in the spring at Turtle Park on Van Ness Street. For this event, the PA provides t-shirts for students and staff, and Field Day volunteers help coordinate snacks and water during the event. 
 

All PA events are dependent on volunteers.  Your Room Parents will send out a call for volunteers for our events and we hope you will give some of your time that day to ensure that the event runs smoothly and is fun for all.

Each grade has two room parents.  Your room parents will coordinate a parent party for your grade at the beginning of the school, organize a Faculty Appreciation Luncheon, and coordinate chaperones as needed by your teachers.  Your room parents will also send you special communications throughout the year on other school events, such as the Spring Celebration.  If your email changes throughout the year, please let your room parents know (in addition to contacting the front desk) so that you can stay informed about your grade’s activities and volunteer needs. 

On certain Noon Dismissal Fridays, the parents of designated grades provide lunch for the faculty and staff. Funds from the PA budget are allocated to each grade to offset the cost of lunch; parent volunteers often bring in salads, desserts and drinks to supplement a purchased entree. Parent volunteers coordinate the food, set up and clean up.

In order to recognize the hard work of all faculty and staff, the PA solicits funds from parents twice a year, at Christmas and at the end of the school year, to distribute as gifts. These cash gifts are designed to be in lieu of store bought gifts from individual families. Families are asked not to give individual gifts to faculty and staff as such actions can imply favoritism and inequity.  Rather, as they wish and are able, families may contribute to the Faculty Gift to thank teachers and staff.
