On September 17, 2020, Head of School Malcolm Lester announced that NPS will begin transitioning to our Hybrid Learning Plan (Scenario Two) on October 5, 2020 utilizing a phased-in approach. On February 3, 2021, the school announced the next phase of additional in-person learning days for students in Grades 1-6 to begin in February and early March.
Finally, on March 18, 2021, a five-day schedule for all students was announced, with our distance learning module continuing as an option for all grades, to begin on April 19 through the end of the school year.
The success of the school’s return to campus—and the health and safety of the NPS community—depends on everyone’s adherence to public health guidelines and the school’s carefully crafted policies and protocols, all designed to mitigate risk. Therefore, NPS expects those in the community—students, faculty and staff, parents, and essential visitors to campus—to follow school policies and to continue to behave in ways that minimize risk and exposure to the virus.
