Pre-Kindergarten 3 - Age 3 by September 1; must be toilet trained

Kindergarten - Age 5 by September 1

Grade 1 and up - Next sequential grade or as determined by parents and NPS

If your child is not yet the minimum age for NPS, we invite you to explore our on-campus childcare center, National Presbyterian Child Care Center (NPCCC), which serves ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. Please contact NPCCC Director Krystal Johnson for more information.

All applications are submitted online via Ravenna. To begin, click on the “Apply to NPS” button below.  There are no required essays, so filling out this form is quick and easy. If you would like to share additional information about your child or family, there is an Optional Parent Comments form that you may submit.
 

From your Ravenna application page you may proceed with the next steps of the application process.

Apply to NPS

For all applicant families who don’t currently attend NPS, a parent visit is required. 

For families applying to Pre-Kindergarten 3, Pre-Kindergarten 4, and Kindergarten, a Campus Tour or Individual Parent Visit meets this requirement. 

For families applying to Grades 1 and higher, an Individual Parent Visit is required. 

Campus Tours may be scheduled via Ravenna, and individual visits may be scheduled by emailing the NPS Admissions Office. Families may visit before submitting an application. If you visit before applying, we will mark your parent visit requirement as complete once your application is received.

To supplement your required visit, please note that there are numerous other ways to learn about NPS, including Virtual Information Sessions with the Admissions Office and school leaders, conversations of your choice with NPS parents or faculty & staff, and opportunities to join us at community events.

Schedule an Individual Parent Visit

Applicants to Pre-Kindergarten 3 - Kindergarten participate in an in-person playdate that gives us an opportunity to observe children as they play and take part in activities under the supervision of NPS educators. Please register your child for a playdate on your NPS application page in Ravenna.

Applicants to Grade 1 and higher will spend a day with their current grade at NPS, participating in all activities as well as spending time one-on-one with a learning specialist to assess their current skills. Upon receipt of an application to Grade 1 and higher in Ravenna, an Admissions Office representative will reach out to schedule the full-day Student Visit as well as your Individual Parent Visit (if not yet completed or scheduled).

NPS uses a third party site called Clarity to process financial aid applications. Beginning October 1, 2025, families may go to the Clarity application and create an account. Teacher Recommendations (All):  For all applicants who attend a day care or school, we require a recommendation form to be filled out and submitted by the student’s current teacher. Once you apply, you will email (or delegate) the AISGW Common Recommendation Form to your child’s teacher from your NPS application page in Ravenna.
 

Testing:  We do not request admissions testing.
 

Transcripts: (Grades 1 and above):  For our older applicants, we require your child’s current school to send us a transcript.  A Transcript Request Form to be submitted to your child's current school is available to print from your NPS application page in Ravenna.
 

Request Recommendations & Transcripts

Making these decisions for young children, admittedly, is more art than science. We use the range of information we gather through the admissions process, but we have no rigid formulas or checklists. The entire admissions process is designed to get to know parents and applicants personally with a goal to have a dynamic, close-knit, inclusive learning community.
