This spring, our NPS 5th graders took the lead at Parent-Teacher conferences. Each student shared, with their parents and teachers, a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the school year from a 5th grader's perspective. This was the culmination of a year's worth of work.
In the fall, every student set their own ambitious personal and academic goals. Throughout the year, students were tasked with collecting evidence from various classes and extra-curricular happenings to show their work toward these goals. In the spring they reflected upon their progress, and built and practiced their personalized presentations.
Here in 5th grade, we're immensely proud of our students and all their hard work throughout the school year!
