1st Grade Visits Seniors at IONA House

This fall Ms. Bosland's first grade class walked to IONA House. IONA House is a senior services center located less than a mile from the NPS campus.

In the days leading up to their IONA House visit, the first graders collected food for emergency food kits for the seniors. Each student brought one item from the collection with them on their walk to IONA House.

At IONA House the first graders enjoyed interacting with the seniors by playing "Pin the Tail on the Scarecrow" together.

The first graders and their senior friends shared with each other their favorite things about fall and fall holidays. The first graders were also excited to share what they were going to be for Halloween!
