Technology

Technology enriches the learning process at NPS and helps instill in students a lifelong love of learning. It is woven through the curriculum to extend knowledge and support individual learning styles. Technology fundamentals, such as keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and multimedia, are integrated, often through a project-oriented approach, into core subjects.

Specific subject-related software and web sites reinforce concepts in language arts, math, science, social studies, Spanish, music and art. Students learn and utilize research skills, as well as safety rules, for researching on the Internet. Fifth and Sixth Grade students and their parents sign an Acceptable Use Policy governing the use of technology at school.
